Our Team
The passionate founders, volunteers, and dedicated team members who make the Flandrien Scholarship Program possible
The Flandrien Scholarship Program is made possible by a dedicated team of coaches, former professional athletes, performance experts, mentors, and volunteers who share a common vision: making professional cycling more accessible and diverse. Together, they support each rider through training, personal development, and career guidance.

Founder of Flandrien hotel & Flandrien scholarship
Professor Jamie Anderson is the founder of the Flandrien Scholarship Program. Originally from Australia, Jamie's life has been shaped by a deep and lifelong passion for cycling. As a teenager he competed at State and National level in Australia, dreaming of one day racing in Europe. However, those aspirations were dramatically altered when his father passed away, leaving his family in financial hardship and forcing him to set aside his dreams of racing on the continent. Despite these early challenges, Jamie's drive propelled him into academia. He became a professor of leadership, an author and multiple TED speaker. In his forties he returned to competitive cycling and podiumed at world-level Masters cycling events around the world. Jamie's journey fuels his mission: to support young athletes from all social, economic, and cultural backgrounds in pursuing their dreams of training and racing in Europe's cycling heartland.
