About the Flandrien Scholarship Program
Empowering cyclists from around the world to train, grow, and thrive in the heart of Flanders
Founded in 2021, the Flandrien Scholarship offers cyclists — women and men — the chance to live, train, and race in Belgium, the heart of global cycling. The program has allocated more than 100 Scholarships since its inception. Each year, a select group of international riders join us at the Flandrien Hotel for professional-level training, world-class facilities, and the spirit of true Flandrien determination.
More than a cycling program, the scholarship is a holistic development experience. Riders receive mentoring, coaching, and cultural exposure that help them grow both on and off the bike. Through the Flandrien Association, cyclists and supporters worldwide can contribute and help expand this opportunity.

For athletes from underrepresented regions such as Africa, Asia-Pacific, and South America—where racing structures and development pathways are often limited—Belgium offers rare access to high-level competition and visibility. It gives talented riders a fair chance to grow, compete, and pursue professional careers.
